(Stockholm, SE) – February 17, 2024

Looper Textile Co.’s Board of Directors announces that Erik Lagerblad of H&M Group Ventures will become the new CEO of Looper Textile Co.

“I am really excited to join Looper Textile Co. at such a pivotal moment for the textile industry. The need for collection and sorting solutions has never been greater, and Looper is uniquely positioned to drive meaningful change. I look forward to working with the team, owners and partners to scale our impact and play a key role in the circular textile ecosystem,” said Lagerblad.

Erik’s experience in the industry spans sustainability, venture building, and scaling recycling solutions. He joined the H&M Group sustainability department in 2012, before moving on to H&M Group Ventures (then H&M CO:LAB) in 2017 where he has led investments in sustainable fashion and held multiple board positions. Erik was part of the founding teams of TreeToTextile and Syre. Since 2023, he has led H&M Group Ventures within the business area New Growth & Ventures.

We are confident in Erik’s strong business acumen and leadership, and that he, together with the team, will be able to take Looper Textile Co. to the next stage of its journey as an innovator in giving used and unwanted garments a new life through reuse and recycling.

The Board of Directors would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our outgoing CEO, Emily Bolon. Emily was part of the founding team of Looper Textile Co. and brought the company from its original vision to its initial success in the first two years. We wish Emily all the best in this next chapter.
